Scholars@Pitt (scholars.pitt.edu), formerly the University's Faculty Information System, will be temporarily unavailable early Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 2 to 4 a.m., during an upgrade to version 7.0.

No user action is required for this upgrade. Version 7.0 improves overall performance and includes enhanced navigation. The menu has been moved to the left-hand sidebar for easier access to features and content.

The maintenance window was timed by the vendor (Symplectic Elements) to minimize disruption to users. Pitt Digital has completed checks to ensure that the system is ready for the update and will be actively engaged throughout the maintenance period. In the unlikely event that an issue or problem arises, the system will revert to its original configuration and post an update to https://status.pitt.edu/.
